Part-Time Arrangements are Favored
Avaya, a leader in small and mid-market business solutions, recently conducted a survey of their customers to get some answers on flexible styles of working. What Avaya learned is that if given the opportunity, 90% said they would let their employees work from home at least one day a week, saving employees more than 100 hours of commuting a year. The motivation would be to keep productivity and customer service high. The biggest challenge is being to find and afford the types of unified communication solutions needed to allow instant response, mobility, and business continuity without always having to be co-located in the office.
