New Career Launched In “Ministry to Those in Transition”

Have you ever asked yourself, “What should I do with the rest of my life?” Of course you have, everyone has and for Christopher Hansen, managing partner of CLH Associates, a transition expeditor, it is the question he is asked most often.

For three years, while building the Home-Based Business Council from a four person organization, headquartered in Hansen’s home office, into an international membership association, he was the business startup expert at allexperts.com.

The question Hansen was asked most often was, “What business should I start?” “Usually this meant, ‘how can I (legally) make the most money, with the least effort, in the shortest period of time,’” Hansen states. “But many people were using this as a variation of the “what should I do with my life” question. So, I worked on it. I had developed five businesses at home from scratch, helped friends, associates, then strangers do the same, and found a simple (not easy) method for building a future based on strengths.”

Last year, Hansen turned his original home-based business over to his son and began a new career in “ministry to those in transition.” At first he worked in a church environment and then a few months ago began turning the ministry into a vital business.

Hansen’s methods have worked for a vast array of individuals, but his real targets are men and women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who want or need to make a job/career change. He says, “Most people have no idea what their real strengths are. Once they know them and how to use them, they can make successful transitions — into a home-based business or new career — with much less effort and enjoy doing so.”

Most people would consider Hansen’s many awards, especially the prestigious National Home-based Business Advocacy Award from the U.S. Small Business Administration to be his greatest accomplishment. But, he regards success as his 42-year marriage and his close family relationships, all made possible through his home-based businesses.

Currently Hansen promotes his work by word of mouth, but he is developing online and teletraining classes, which he can conduct from his home office. For information e-mail transition@clhassociates.com or visit http://www.creatingthefutureofwork.com. HBM
